An estimate based on the assumptions shown, not a guarantee of results. Research on lead response, including the MIT and InsideSales Lead Response Management Study, has found leads contacted within 5 minutes are far more likely to qualify than those contacted 30 minutes later.

How the missed commission calculator works

  1. Add your lead numbersEnter how many leads you get a month, how many you close today, your average price and your commission.
  2. Tell us how you follow upPick how fast you usually reply and how long you keep following up with leads who go quiet.
  3. See the gapThe calculator compares your current results with what faster replies and longer follow-up typically produce, and shows the commission difference per year.

Frequently asked questions

How much commission do agents lose to slow lead response?

It depends on lead volume and price point, but the gap is usually larger than agents expect. Online leads often contact several agents, and the first one to reply tends to win the conversation. An agent who replies in hours instead of minutes, and stops following up after a few attempts, can leave several closings a year on the table. The calculator puts a dollar figure on your own numbers.

What is a good lead to close conversion rate for real estate agents?

Conversion on online leads is often quoted at 1 to 3 percent, while agents with fast replies and long-term follow-up commonly do better. Many online leads are months away from buying, so the follow-up period matters as much as the first reply.

How is the target conversion rate estimated?

We start from your current close rate and apply a multiplier for reply speed and another for follow-up length, then cap the result so it stays realistic. You can override the target rate yourself if you have your own benchmark.

Is this a guarantee of results?

No. It is an estimate based on the numbers you enter and common industry patterns. Your market, lead sources and skills all affect real results.
